Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed on Twitter that the Tesla Sentry model will soon be broadcasted directly to the Tesla app on your smartphone.
Sentry Mode is a monitoring system that is activated when the vehicle senses something near the vehicle that should not be there. Sentry mode is usually activated when someone looks at Tesla windows or walks past them in the path of their car. However, Sentry Mode is also activated when attempted theft or keystrokes occur, which are, unfortunately, common occurrence for some Tesla owners.
Sentry Mode is activated when the vehicle is parked in a city where people are constantly walking next to it. This can trigger Sentry Mode alerts repeatedly, and owners may not feel comfortable when their phones are constantly vibrating. In any case, this feature aims to create a sense of security in the owner.
On the other hand, introducing a live streaming feature for Sentry Mode lets owners be directly informed of what’s going on. For example, if a thief is trying to break into a vehicle, the owner can call the police immediately.
This revolutional initiative by Tesla is yet another feature to look forward to, giving the owner a sense of security, which makes this feature very helpful.
